It is invested in strengthening its environmental advocacy by ensuring that the voices of local communities are heard by decision-makers.
Karine believes that the future of Madagascar’s environment depends on sustainable management of natural resources, ecosystem restoration and increased awareness of the island’s unique biodiversity. Strengthened governance, closely involving local communities, is essential to reconcile socio-economic development and conservation. Through international and national collaborations, Madagascar could become a model of sustainable conservation while improving local living conditions.
